I eat, therefore I ride

Eating wasn't the main reason I started riding a bicycle. I signed up for the 2007 Lifecycle AIDS ride to rehab my recently replaced left knee. My husband and I own a tandem that had been gathering dust in the garage and I suggested to him we do the 560-some miles to LA riding it. An avid cyclist, Jerry jumped at the opportunity and on my 54th birthday we signed up for the ride. We started with a 20 mile ride and started building up miles until we were ready for the big day in June.
I discovered I loved riding, but what I also discovered was, the more you ride, the more you get to eat. What could be better-- two things I love. Riding and eating.
And so, the riding and eating adventure begins.
